Dr. Dashtipour is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Basic Sciences at Loma Linda University, where he also serves as the Director of the Division of Movement Disorders and Research Director for the Neurology Department. Dr. Dashtipour is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Basic Sciences at Loma Linda University, where he also serves as the Director of the Division of Movement Disorders and Research Director for the Neurology Department. He has established numerous educational and clinical programs, including the creation of the Movement Disorders Fellowship Program at Loma Linda University. Over the past two decades, he has trained a multitude of neurologists and movement disorders specialists.
Dr. Dashtipour's research interests encompass lifestyle modifications in Parkinson's disease, such as exercise, identification of biomarkers for Parkinson's disease, and the development of new medications to manage movement disorders. He has participated as the principal investigator or sub-investigator in over 40 clinical trials. Dr. Dashtipour is an active member of the Parkinson Study Group, the American Academy of Neurology, and the Movement Disorders Society. Furthermore, he has contributed to the Movement Disorders Society CME Committee.
He has authored and co-authored more than 100 original journal articles, review papers, book chapters, and abstracts at international congresses. In addition to his responsibilities as a neurologist, educator, and researcher, Dr. Dashtipour enjoys painting and writing poetry in his leisure time
