Dr. Dashtipour is a Professor of Neurology and Basic Sciences at Loma Linda University, where he also serves as the Director of the Division of Movement Disorders and Research Director for the Neurology Department. He has established numerous educational and clinical programs, including the creation of the Movement Disorders Fellowship 

  

Dr. Dashtipour is a Professor of Neurology and Basic Sciences at Loma Linda University, where he also serves as the Director of the Division of Movement Disorders and Research Director for the Neurology Department. He has established numerous educational and clinical programs, including the creation of the Movement Disorders Fellowship Program at Loma Linda University. Over the past two decades, he has trained a multitude of neurologists and movement disorders specialists.

Dr. Dashtipour's research interests encompass lifestyle modifications in Parkinson's disease, such as exercise, identification of biomarkers for Parkinson's disease, and the development of new medications to manage movement disorders. He has participated as the principal investigator or sub-investigator in over 40 clinical trials. Dr. Dashtipour is an active member of the Parkinson Study Group, the American Academy of Neurology, and the Movement Disorders Society. Furthermore, he has contributed to the Movement Disorders Society CME Committee.

He has authored and co-authored more than 100 original journal articles, review papers, book chapters, and abstracts at international congresses. In addition to his responsibilities as a neurologist, educator, and researcher, Dr. Dashtipour enjoys painting and writing poetry in his leisure time

He has served as Chair of the Movement Disorders Section of the American Academy of Neurology, Associate Editor of the Movement Disorders journal, and on the Executive Committee of the Parkin

Dr. Alberto Espay is Professor and Endowed Chair of the James J. and Joan A. Gardner Center for Parkinson’s Disease at the University of Cincinnati. He has served as Chair of the Movement Disorders Section of the American Academy of Neurology, Associate Editor of the Movement Disorders journal, and on the Executive Committee of the Parkinson Study Group. Among other honors, he has received the Cincinnati Business Courier’s Health Care Hero award, the Spanish Society of Neurology’s Cotzias award, and Honorary Membership in the Mexican Academy of Neurology. He currently serves as President of the Pan-American Section of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorders Society and directs the first biomarker study of aging (CCBPstudy.com), designed to match people with neurodegenerative disorders to available therapies from which they are most biologically suitable to benefit, regardless of clinical diagnoses.

Dr. Michele Tagliati is the Caron and Steven D. Broidy Endowed Chair in Movement Disorders, Professor and Vice Chair of Neurology, and Director of the Division of Movement Disorders at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.  An internationally recognized leader in Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, and neuromodulation, Dr. Tagliati has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications and 30 book chapters, and is co-author of the patient reference book Parkinson’s Diseasefor Dummies.  As a principal investigator on numerous clinical trials, his work has advanced the science and clinical practice of deep brain stimulation (DBS), botulinum toxin therapies, as well as biomarker-driven approaches to early and prodromal Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Tagliati has lectured at conferences and academic institutions around the world and is one of the premier educators of Botulinum Toxin therapy and DBS management. He has received multiple awards for his contributions, including the APDA Exceptional Achievement Award and the NICHE Trailblazer Award, and continues to shape the field through research, mentorship, and leadership in professional societies.
